The Night Before
Everything is prepared. Books and school supplies have long been assembled all placed in their rightful position. Everything is prepared, except for my mind. I lay awake in my bed, knowing in only a few hours nothing will be the same again. My troubled thoughts keep sleep away, until the pure anxiety drags me under. That night, the last night of summer, I dreamed. I dreamed that I woke up in a place where nothing made sense, and I worried about strange things. The next day, dream became reality.
